Dr. Calderwood will review CMS quality programs targeting inpatient and ambulatory quality and discuss what these programs can tell us about local opportunities for improvement.

- Participants will be able to identify opportunities for improvement based on data from CMS pay-for-performance programs
- Participants will be able to state 2 limitations of federal pay-for-performance programs

About the Speaker
Michael S. Calderwood, MD, MPH is the Chief Quality Officer at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Associate Professor of Medicine at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.
Calderwood's responsibilities include management and oversight of the integration of safety, quality, patient experience and value/process improvement activities; along with oversight of quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
